Emanuel, like most synagogues, is largely run by you and other members of the congregation. Some committees plan events, like Adult Education and Social Action; other committee meetings are events, like when the Garden Committee met last fall to plant bulbs in Emanuel's front yard. But all of them provide an easy way to get involved in the Congregation, meet new people, and generally help make Emanuel a living institution that is fun to be a part of. Without them we would be but bricks and mortar.
In short, get involved, meet new people, make a difference: join a committee!
Contact: Info@emanuelcong.org to volunteer to get involved with any of the following committees. Don't worry, there are additional short and long-term opportunities that are not on this list. Let us know what you can offer and we'll get you involved.
