Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute is operated under the auspices of the Union for Reform Judaism
, and not only is it our regional summer URJ camp, it was founded by our Rabbi Emeritus, Herman Schaalman, during the 1950s.

It is our goal here at Emanuel that any family who wishes to send their child to Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute will be able to. We believe in this powerful Jewish experience for our children, and that it is an integral part of their educational process.

OSRUI is located in
Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and sits on over 200 acres of land adjacent to Lac LaBelle -- a clear inland lake over seven miles around. Over the summer, approximately 1000 campers from North America and beyond attend OSRUI. Programs are available to youngsters entering third grade through high school.

Campers choose from five different program units according to their main area of interest and grade level. Camp sessions range from two weeks to seven weeks depending on the particular session. High school students may travel to Israel for five weeks on the OSRUI/NFTY in Israel program.

See the OSRUI website, www.osrui.org for more information about these programs. All of the sessions are staffed by mature college students, under the guidance of experienced senior staff members and faculty from across the country. OSRUI is proud of its commitment to providing campers with strong and encouraging Jewish role models.

Scholarship Opportunities
Emanuel Congregation is also proud to announce OSRUI scholarship opportunities for Emanuel members. This system will enable parents to apply for scholarship in a way that is designed to meet the needs of every family. If you would like to discuss the numerous scholarship opportunities available, please contact Emanuel's Religious School Administrator, Myra Wagner.
