Sunday, February 5
The holiday of Tu B'Shevat, the New Year of the Trees, is upon us. This is a particularly fun and hands-on holiday for children, who can participate in caring for the earth in several different ways. You can learn more about Tu B'Shevat and find activities for your children from the Union for Reform Judaism at http://urj.org/holidays/tubishvat/. Also, the Religious School will be participating in a program hosted by our 6th grade class. It is customary on this holiday to eat several different types of fruits. Like our usual snacks, these will be nut-free. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's participation, please contact me by email or at 773/561-5173.
