Non-members may purchase tickets for $360.00 each adult (children under 18 included on their parents/caregivers tickets). Non-members can apply this fee towards Emanuel membership dues until 12/31/2021. Non-member tickets can be purchased online using the following link:

Family Service Tickets at (9am September 7th and 16th)

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Family Services are aimed to engage families with young children, but all are welcome! Emanuel Congregation Welcomes non-members!

feel the embrace of our expansive, inclusive, warm, and welcoming community.

Emanuel Congregation is excited to be able to offer both in-person and virtual services this year!

Your health and safety is important to us. Everyone attending in-person services must wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth at all times regardless of vaccination status. To view Emanuel's current Covid operating guidelines, click the link at the top right of this page. (Family Services are in-person only)

All in-person and virtual services and events are subject to change.

Machzor (Prayer Books)

Emanuel Congregation uses Mishkan HaNefesh, Machzor for the Days of Awe. Should you wish to purchase your own copy, they may be purchased from the publisher, CCAR Press, or they might also be available at Rosenblum's in Skokie, 773-262-1700.

 

Emanuel Congregation has some machzorim to loan to those who will be attending services in person. Large print versions are also available.

Childcare

Emanuel Congregation offers childcare during congregational services for children ages Pre-K through 3rd grade on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur mornings. Drop-off begins at 10:15 am, immediately following the Family Service. Please note that children must bring their own nut-free brown-bag lunch and must be potty trained. Cost: $15 per child per day. Parking and Transit

Off-site parking locations near Emanuel Congregation are available at the following locations for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services.

  • St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 N Sheridan Road (cross street Hollywood)

  • Sacred Heart Schools, 6250 N Sheridan Road & 6215 N. Kenmore (enter off of the alley)

Please check the schedule below for availability. Shuttle Buses will make continuous trips between Emanuel Congregation, Sacred Heart, and St. Andrews. Please note that there will be no off-site parking or shuttle buses on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, Wednesday, September 8.

Yom Kippur: Thursday, 9/16

St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church from 8:00am – 6:00pm

Mobility Accessible Parking: Limited parking is available in the Emanuel lot for those with mobility concerns on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the Emanuel office to request an Emanuel lot parking pass: info@emanuelcong.org or 773-561-5173. Please reserve parking in advance, even if you have parked in the Emanuel lot in previous years.

 

Public Transportation: For those wishing to avoid the hassle of traffic and parking, Emanuel Congregation is easily accessible by public transportation. This includes the CTA Red Line (Thorndale Station) and multiple bus lines including bus #151, #147, #136, and #36. Please visit www.transitchicago.com to view routes, schedules, and plan your trip.
