A Few Words from Rabbi Craig Marantz

Shalom Friends:

I am very grateful that we were able to host such a beautiful and compelling memorial to those who perished at Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh. The experience of holding a Shabbat service which filled us Jewishly but also reflected the ecumenical nature of our community was very inspiring. That we could share our grief about this terrible, homicidal, anti-Semitic act was comforting.

I am most appreciative to all those who participated in the service--up on the bimah, behind the scenes, and those present in the congregation. May the memories of those who were murdered be a blessing, and may we do whatever possible to make their losses matter. For those who asked about it or those who did not see the prayer booklet yet, please click HERE. In addition, be on the lookout for my d'var Torah on Toledot in this week's edition of the Chicago Jewish News. The paper should come out by the end of the working week; maybe slightly after.

Make it a day of blessing and be a force for good!
